"If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”
-Esther 4:14 (NLT)

Esther is the only book in the Bible to not mention God's name. Even though God was unmentioned, it's still evident that He is the one orchestrating the events that unfold. Esther tells the story of the miraculous saving of the Jews from annihilation.
Today's verse is when Mordecai is telling his younger cousin, Esther about Haman's plans to kill the Jews. Esther has just been made queen and Mordecai believes that she was supposed to be queen for this very reason.
That got me thinking about our lives today. It can be easy to think that I'm not living out God's will until I'm in my dream career doing exactly what I think God wants me to. But that's not how God works.
He uses every moment for His sovereign purpose. I can serve God now through the platforms He's given me at the moment. I never saw myself working in fast food, but that's the platform God has given me to work my way through school. I pray that I can inspire customers and coworkers to desire to know God. I don't have to wait until I graduate or get married to fulfill God's plans for my life. He's using me right where I am.
The same is true for you. No matter what stage of life you're in, God can do amazing things through you.
What job opportunities or activities are you in? How you can minister to the people you see on a day to day basis? Even if you don't feel like you're quite where you want to be, God has a plan in the here and now.
God allowed Esther to be queen at the perfect time. She was able to use her platform to persuade the king to help the Jews fight against Haman's evil plans.
God has you where you are right now for a reason. Though it can be hard to see the purpose at the moment, God's plans are always perfect.
